Prof. Jerzy Wiszniewski was a renowned Polish lawyer, academic teacher, and author of academic textbooks.
The foundation bearing his name was established according to the will of his daughter, Prof. Irena Wiszniewska-Białecka, an outstanding jurist who served as a judge in the Supreme Administrative Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union (formerly the Court of First Instance of the European Communities).
